This website is designed to facilitate community engagement as the communities of Greece consider expanding shared services or possible merger of the four fire districts that serve the Town. The Barnard, Lakeshore, North Greece and Ridge Road Fire Districts have engaged CGR to conduct an overview of the operational factors, public opinion and community impacts.

The Barnard, Lakeshore, North Greece and Ridge Road Fire Districts have engaged CGR to evaluate the operations and administration of their districts. CGR will spend time on-site meeting with key stakeholders, interviewing officials and department heads, and gathering data regarding budgets, operations, and governing structures. The resulting analysis will provide the Town of Greece with insight into the feasibility of a unified fire district. Throughout the process, residents will be asked to provide feedback via the project website and at a public meetings during the study process.
The process is being overseen by a Leadership Committee composed of representatives from the Town of Greece and each fire district with assistance from CGR, a nonprofit management consulting organization with expertise in government management, public finance and municipal consolidation processes.
