Developing a Regional Workforce Hub

CGR is launching a new project with Monroe Community College and the Monroe Community College Foundation to explore a potential approach for operating a more regionally coordinated workforce development ecosystem. With our Upstate region’s designation as the NY SMART I-Corridor Tech Hub designation along with the ON-RAMP program focused on advanced manufacturing, the time is right to maximize benefits for workers and employers across the region. CGR will help MCC and the Foundation plan and convene a work group of key leaders and entities to explore possible approaches, structures, organizational designs and funding mechanisms. We will be developing options in the first quarter of 2025 for potential funders.
