CGR was selected in October 2017 to conduct several specific analysis to help the community evaluate the impacts of consolidation or dissolution.
CGR is based in Rochester, NY and has provided similar work for dozens of communities across the Northeast. The current study will examine the law enforcement and fire protection services provided by the Village, the employee benefit package received by the employees of the town and village and to review the overall potential fiscal and tax impact on the community.
The Village of Cazenovia has a total land mass of about 1.7 square miles and is home to just over 2,800 people (2010 Census). The Village is located in the center portion of the Town of Cazenovia, which covers nearly 50 square miles and is home to over 7,000 residents (including Village of Cazenovia residents).
